J. Monty was born Sep. 9, 1991. Raised in South Atlanta. He took an interest in music at an early age. He was inspired by an era where Hip-Hop was a genre well taken care of by those entrusted with the gift to create it. After releasing his independent debut album 'Second Born' in 2015, he signed a deal with Sony Music's first Christian Rap label 'Sony Essential'. He's currently working on his debut EP and plans to release it in the first quarter of 2019. Until then, he is actively releasing musical content every Tuesday for free on all of his socials through his movement titled "Testify", where J. Monty uses his life and gifts to testify of the existence of God.
